ABOUT LANCE MCGREGOR
Anne McClain is a graduate of the Grasse Institute of Perfumery in the south of France, and the founder of MCMC Fragrances. She turned to the fine art of perfumery after an extended interest in photography as another way to flatten an experience into something tangible, yet ethereal. Anne also enjoys learning about aromatherapy to understand the psychological effects that the distilled oils of the flowers, resins, barks, peels, leaves and other plant materials have on the mind.
Prior to attending perfumery school, she attended Brown University where she took classes in religion, creative arts, the environment, philosophy, and neuroscience. She designed an independent major which later became an established major, “Contemplative Studies”. Its mission, “to develop a coordinated program in this rapidly emerging field that focuses on many of the ways that human beings have found, across cultures and across time to concentrate, broaden and deepen conscious awareness as the gateway to cultivating their full potential and to leading more meaningful and fulfilling lives”.
